Frank Underwood is true politician, he's ruthless, cunning, gorgeous, ambitious and somewhat manipulative. I've learned office politics from Michael Scott from The Office, Gregory House from House (my all time fav line : "Everybody lies") and Frank Underwood for the real politic. House of Cards is really a great show. But still, it's fiction.
1. Don't choose money over power
Such a waste of talent. He chose money over power. Money is the McMansion in Sarasota that starts falling apart after ten years; Power is the old stone building that stands for centuries.
Power is a lot like real estate. It’s all about location, location, location. The closer you are to the source the higher your property value.
2. Democracy is so over-rated
One heartbeat away from the presidency and not a vote cast in my name. Democracy is so over-rated
3.Don't sleep or take a nap too much
I have always loathed the necessity of sleep. Like death, it puts even the most powerful men on their backs.
4. If you really ambitious about what you want
Seduce him. Give him your heart. Cut it out and put it in his fucking hands.
So, what i've been thinking about Indonesian politics nowadays, it's kinda boring. Every candidate only need a lot of money to buy votes and running a black campaign. A no brainer strategy. We just a tool to give them what they want and you don't realize about it!
Democracy is so over-rated lah.
